Dwelling on the Times that Passed us By

People become morose so simply and so easily. It happens to all of us at one point or another. We think back to the times that have passed us by seemingly unnoticed, and then we reflect on the losses that we've incurred during that time. We forget that there will always be other times, that the loss we suffer isn't endless, and all bad things will turn good, it's Murphy's Law, pure and simple. What we always forget is that the world around us is a big place, and that there's bound to be good amongst the bad.

Take for example a relationship. Yes you love that person with all of your heart, you care dearly for the person you are with and you want everything to be sunshine and rainbows forever. But when things do go south, and they often do, you forget that you have unlimited options around you. For example, you pick yourself up, moan about it a little bit, and then just keep on going with work or your hobbies or be with your friends. You want to just keep steam rolling ahead like you can do, and you don't give a shit about what anyone else thinks and what anyone else says to you about the situation, You fight forwards and you make sure that you're happy at the end of it. So what if he or her try to run you down to everyone you know, or try and get past you and hack your Facebook or whatever, you just run forward and you shrug all of the bad stuff off of your shoulders.

You need to remember that nothing is ever permanent, not even us. But we have to make the most of life where we are. Carpe diem, which means "Seize the day". We need to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and soldier on. We aren't all getting left behind on our own, and when we get raptured (if you believe in what the greatest work of fiction on Earth says), then at least we can ascend to the pearly gates in the sky knowing that we lived life to its full potential.
