The End Of An Era

Here it is. 14 years of education. 7 years of primary school. 5 years of secondary school. 2 years of college. All seems to be going faster now it's all coming to an end. Friends have been lost, and new ones have been made. Links have been created between us all. Something which has become strong and will not be forgotten. Now the end of our college lives end, it's now time to see whether we can make it on our own.

Our initial college group holds the strongest friends, showing the link of what makes us what we are. Our group shows that each of us is something. We are all weird, musically linked, bitchy, moaning, quick witted, funny and friendly. Each of us is good at something, something unique. We are already on the way to moving on. We all want to get a head in life. We all want to be successful, and I wish them all the best.

I've actually found a poem which I think encapsulates us well. It's called Ulysses, by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

"It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And though we are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will;
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."

I've been thinking about that poem a lot lately. And I think what it says is that, while it’s tempting to play it safe, the more we’re willing to risk, the more alive we are. In the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took. And I hope that explains, at least a little, this journey on which we are all about to embark. I have loved every minute with my friends on the college course, and i wish you all the best for the future, and I hope you are all as successful as you want to be.

Good luck guys
