Jingle Bells!

So it seems to me now that people are getting more and more in the mood for Christmas. Adverts on the television point in the direction of cheap products, such as food and last minute gifts. And sofa's, courtesy of DFS for up to £499 off. But, is it just me, or am I the only person around who seems to find Christmas a bit of a push this year, and that more money is being sunk into it? Probably, as everyone else loves the fact that gift bringing and getting slightly tipsy is a cause for celebration.

People think of Christmas in the sense that gifts are going to be bought, and that it is a time for good tidings for us and our kings. But so much money is spent, that our little cards of plastic are screaming in our wallets, shouting "NO MORE, PLEASE, I BEG YOU, I HAVE BEEN SWIPED SO MANY TIMES TODAY, PLEASE, JUST NO MORE!" But we ignore this, and end up in a whole lot of shit for it.

Along with the recession, and the possibilities of it going "Double Dip", we cannot afford to spend too much this year, with money being tight. Yet businesses and shops raise the prices of food and wine and last minute gifts, such as CD's and games. It will bleed us dry, and leave us in a hole deep enough to sink Heather Mills' ego. With this in mind, will you take my advice and not spend more than you earn. Comment and send me back your opinions, I want to hear them and your views on the subject.
