Football Shirts

For the first time in the best part of 3 years, I have purchased a football shirt. The team I have chosen to support is my home town of Swindon. This being the first time in a few years, I did not expect the shirts to have gotten more expensive. How wrong I was.

First of all, I couldn't find the size that I wanted, second of all, the bimbo on the help desk was of no use to me what so ever, third of all, IT WAS £38! I can understand the teams wanting to make a small profit during this current economic climate, and thus keeping the team afloat, but come on! Prices didn't stop there either, the long sleeve version cost £4, £2 for extra sleeves.

It seems again that I am just venting frustration out on those who read the blog. This is probably true, but do football teams have to put prices so high? I fail to understand how a big league team like Manchester United charge £45 for a basic football t-shirt.

Get a grip, sports industry, and stop bleeding us poor suckers dry!
